Hmm. This is disappointing to say the least.
Although, I do cast my mind back to GTA V and how it took a long time for that to come to PC with several delays, but it was worth the wait for me. The fun I've had in GTA V solo and more importantly online with the PC version and all the enhanced visuals that brought, along with playing in FPS mode with a mouse and keyboard completely warranted buying it three times for me. Well, twice really, for the 360 it was a gift given to me, I bought it for Xbox One full price and the PC for a heavily discounted price using a key retailer.. so all told the game owed me £60 of entertainment. I've got that and much more. YMMV of course depending on how much time you've been able to enjoy online with friends. There really isn't anything quite like it! Also, the modding scene really did make GTA V worthy of purchase, some of the single player mods for GTA V are just so damn impressive they could be games in their own right.
I'll be buying an Xbox One S soon purely as it's got a very capable 4K Blu Ray player and as it stands there are only 2 other options for 4K Blu Ray players on the market and they are both more expensive than an Xbox One S, one of them being twice the price. Also the Xbox One S supports HDR so if like me you have a 4K TV with HDR support then it's very much a worthwile purchase. The Xbox One S was already on my road map when I was buying a new main TV to replace the one that got a fist put through it from an over enthusiastic HTC Vive session (lawl).
So, for me, I'll be getting it for the Xbox One S for sure, and if it's anywhere near as good as the first one I'll get it for PC whenever that is released.
I honestly think it will come to PC. It's almost urban legend now the fact RDR didn't ever get released on PC so it would make perfect sense for them to hold that back to later release a press announcement with great fanfare - "AND NOW WHAT ALL PC GAMERS HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR WE GIVE YOU READ DEAD REDEMPTION 2 FOR PC!!!!!" to rapturous applause.
I'm happy to wait. Plenty to be getting on with until then
