Hey guys, I am IronDiggy aka Jerad.

I was watching the BoO stream last night, which lead me to the YT channel which lead me here. I am from Red Deer, Alberta working in healthcare as an IT supervisor. I play almost anything including attempting to drive in iracing. Outside of gaming I've done a little powerlifting in the past, I still train but it's been some time since I've taken it seriously or competed.

Uhh thats it I guess, if you have any questions ask away!

Duke said I need to put my social media crap on here so:

Hey Jerad let me be the first to welcome you to Band of Others, terrific to have you with us.

Just so you know, that was my dodgy driving you were watching so I thank you for your patience and candor, it can't be easy to watch lol.

We have another member here from your neck of the woods, I myself reside only one province over in British Columbia.

As you can see, we have a Teamspeak Server and it's here to be used so please jump in sometime.

There are a number of different games being played around here so I'm sure we have something to suit your tastes.

Hello IronDiggy, welcome to B2O! Good to see that Duke's dodgy driving actually is people getting to the forums, who would have thought!

Feel free to make yourself at home here, there's a bunch of good people around here from all over the world, so don't hesitate to post (which I saw you already started doing). Enjoy your stay :D

Welcome to Hotel California.

You can check in but you can never check out ;-)

Anyway, nice to have you here IronDiggy, i'm pretty sure you'll enjoy your stay.
And as Shilka pointed out, feel free to ask anything!

Welcome IronDiggy.

Like Duke said, feel free to check out TeamSpeak. In your timezone it tends to be pretty active. Only of course if you don't value your sanity, as you might have noticed from the stream or videos :)

Thanks for the welcome guys! Duke, your driving is pretty damn good compared to myself. I may have to try driving the V8's again though I have an issue with leadfoot quite often. I'll definitely jump on TS sometime this week/weekend and say hi.

I have an issue with lead foot as well but it's more due to physical limitations with the ligaments in my right foot. For me it's a real issue trying to keep the V8 under control as it's extremely sensitive to throttle input even when pointing straight.

The one thing I can say about driving around here is you don't really notice that you're improving but you are one lap at a time. I remember the days when Noel would be a memory in a lap or two but now there have been times when him and I have raced close and clean.

...something that never happened back in the early days of us turning laps together; equal fault resting on the shoulders of both drivers (hope you don't mind me using you as an example Noel).

Since starting Practice Pals, I've gone from 7 or 8 seconds off the fastest race pace to an average of 1 or 2 seconds (early in the week) to 3 seconds come Sunday.

Considering how much I race this is a huge improvement as I race very infrequently compared to most everyone here.

Your mileage may vary but I'm confident you'll become a better driver as it simply rubs off from being around better drivers.

Definitely looking forward to turning some laps.

Oh and btw, this isn't to say you are a bad driver because honestly I don't feel I am either but there are plenty around here who are better than I can ever hope to be.

Hopefully you understand the reference.
