iRacing Presents the Nürburgring 24h

The 24 Hours of Nürburgring (ADAC 24h Rennen Nürburgring) is a 24-hour endurance event held on the Nordschleife of the Nürburgring in Nürburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It also utilizes part of the GP-Strecke course to form a total lap length of 16.1 miles (25.9 km).

With the Merc GT4 off the table, my pick would be Merc GT3. If we have enough, I'd do the PCup, but the Merc GT3 is the logical safe bet.

I'm also a fan of the Porsche Cup, but the Mercedes GT3 might indeed be the safer option. Although in terms of traffic, it takes the GT3s up to 4 hours to lap the PCup cars once, so that's not too horrible.

I have been trying the Porsche Cup and it seems like it would be ok if I practice a lot! I only own the Porsche and BMW GT3s, I also have the Audi TCR, I don't mind driving any of those cars. I do not own any of the Gt4 cars and the toyota isn't compatible with my computer....

I'd actually love to drive the Cup but I'm not good enough, and I know it.

I love the Merc here as you can cut nearly half the track by ignoring curbs. I'd also happily drive the BMW as it does well on tracks with elevation.

What I was driving.

I think I'm planning on only doing single stints on tyres... Only 6-lap stints (maybe 7? 6 timed laps, anyways)

I forgot to look at the tires in time, but they still felt pretty stable.

Fuel might be tight with the current BoP. I completed 7 laps with 1.5 L left at the finish line. And that was while running together with another GT3 for maybe 2-3 laps.

So far it looks like we have 5 drivers.
If we drive the Mercedes @Nejtun will not be able to join.
If we drive the Porsche Cup, then @Deb will probably not be able to join. (and we would all need to wear brown pants on race day).

Are there other options? Perhaps the BMW, even though it belongs in Euro Truck Simulator?

And what about time slots, is there a preference? For me we can't go wrong with 13:00 GMT, but the 22:00 GMT timeslot on Friday also doesn't seem too crazy.

I will buy the Mercedes if I am going to join in on this as the cars I have are not the popular choice, the BMW was a little unpleasant compared to the Porsche GT3R AND Cup tbh, do not recommend! I am not fussed about the timeslot at all.

Thank God, I just updated the Mercedes on Treading Pants and I think it's correct.

Drove the Merc with Noel today in the official servers, tyres were fine until the end, the fuel was a little close though! I still need to find about 5 seconds (10 would be nice!), which I should be able to do safely in the next couple of days as the best I could do today was an 8:20 . Also need to do a couple of night sessions.
The setup felt fine but then again it could be rubbish lol as I haven't driven that car before and have no frame of reference

I am not very speedy at all, so far the best lap I've done is 8:20.6 and then I crashed.

I've got Thursday off but can't get on until early evening if anyone wants to turn some laps.
