I have a 8 year old I7-2600K CPU with RX 480 GPU, 16G of ram running at 1600, no SSD.
And it runs Rocket League and Deeprock Galactic and such games on ultra. Battlefield, Vermintide, Elite... on high, DCS on med. So you will be golden with anything younger then 8 years

Lol, first tried shipping with DPD 2 days ago, today i was amazed to receive a package from my neighbor when i came home from work, turns out, it was the same box i sent out a day before. Thanks for the stroopwafels i guess....

Anyway, it's now on it's way with DHL and this time i opted for track and trace, so you should receive an e-mail shortly or might even already have it.

The stroopwafels are best when placed over a hot cuppa for a bit before eating it, this melts the syrup between the wafers.
You could heat them up in an oven for a bit, but pay great attention as that shit sticks and burns like napalm to the inside of your mouth when it's a tad bit too hot.

Yeah feckers even had me repack the outer box as it was littered in dpd labels and i broke the box trying to get them off :/
Guy on the customer service chat laughed his arse off at the stupidity of his co-workers, was also the easiest and quickest refund i ever got as wel. Didn't even have to ask for it.

Anyway, enjoy! Hope they don't take as long with shipping the GPU as they did with my Vive

@ElektroVodka the GPU and more importantly the stroopwaffels arrived today! Got one excited kid here thankyou again to you and @Deb

We'll be putting it together later after our bike ride and some football, any tips for the stroopwaffels? Eat them as is? With ice cream? Sprinkles? I know the Dutch love sprinkles on everything right? lol

I'll make sure to post pics once it's all put together and running ,wish me luck, I haven't put a PC together in a long time and as people love to remind me I put that one together using engine degreaser, magnetic screwdrivers, junior hacksaws and a hammer so who knows how this will go...

Took them long enough The stroopwafels can be eaten as is, but i usually leave them on top of my cup of coffee to get the syrup between the wafers to melt.

Sprinkles.... on a buttered sandwich yeah, not so much on stroopwafels tho.

That list is lacking some tools tho, no chainsaws?! Come on dude, i thought you had a bit of an idea how building computers around here works.

I think we've arranged for some Warzoning tonight my man, I'm up for setting a day next week for some VR shenanigans, can do Tuesday or Wednesday evening? I'll ask Wappy tonight if he's up for it although I know he doesn't like VR'ing when it's hot. We can peer pressure him into it though I'm sure lol. Whatchoo thinking, some Iron Wolf? Rec Room is always a laugh? I'm game though 100%. I know @Nejtun loves me putting a bucket over his head in rec room...

I haven't played that in aaaaages actually, I bet there has been loads of updates and new stuff to do in there since I last played. The paintball mode and laser tag was pretty fun actually, and the frisbee golf.

Got it all put together tonight, tried turning it on but no deal. The cpu fan spins slowly after hitting the reset button on the motherboard but no beeps or anything.

I'm hoping it's just something not plugged in right but I can't think what it could be, will need to go over it tomorrow as it's getting late now.

@Deb what problem did you have with the mobo again just so I can compare and see if it's the same issue?

EDIT: Ah it was just that it wasn't recognizing the M2 slot, ok so it's probably something little that's not quite right, I'm sure i'll figure it out

The problem I was having was that it would not load the SSD, which was my boot drive. It would recognize the CD ROM drive and the hard drive. Your issue makes me wonder if the MOBO got damaged in shipping or something is not hooked up right.

Hey sorry for not replying it's been a MENTAL few days!

So to cut a long story short, never try to build a PC after a looooooong day's work when you are tired, you end up doing stupid stuff like not connecting the CPU power lol

I had loads of problems but with the help of @Wapwap over a couple of whatsapp calls we got them sorted, mainly software related with a windows install that didn't want to play ball and partitions and bios things and sata cables and power supply plugs and lions and tigers and bears (if you don't get that reference that's because I'm getting on a bit, 1,000 P points to anyone that does though). EVENTUALLY though, between working and other commitments I got the bugger going and he's really happy with it. THANKYOU SO MUCH to @Deb and @ElektroVodka for the parts, you are both AWESOME, and thanks to the Wapster for the IT support. - legend. It turns out just clicking on things until something works is not the best way forward, who'd have thunk it?! Thanks also to @Ogami Itto for the case recommendation, it was a really easy case to work with, and plenty of space, thanks mate - good call!

He's been busy downloading the entire internet while I've been at work and is absolutely loving it, playing games with a mouse and keyboard is the best thing ever he says, and he loves the frame rates and chilling at his desk. Future e-sports champ on the horizon? Seriously though, you have made a boy very happy with your generous donations and effort sending the parts. Things have been very tough for me and my family lately and acts of kindness like that can really pick you up and give you a boost. I can't thank you enough. Love you guys <3
