Re: Bathurst 12 hour hosted race

Updated the original post, B2O Endurance is registered for the Kia Optima on the forum post, hopefully finding 3 other people who want to do it won't be too hard.

The organizer recently updated the post. He found a sponsor to award $ 100 iRacing credits to the winners of each class, pretty cool.

Still, there is no way you're getting me in the Kia at Bathurst. I would like to do the C-Spec if somebody else wants to. There are still 2 GT3 spots available so if anybody would like to do the McLaren I would like that, but we'd have to register fast.

The one condition I personally have for this race is that I would want to do at least 6 hours of driving, so ideally a team of 2 drivers. Anything less just reduces the scale of the race for me a little.

I'm not sure about the difficulty of the classes. The Kia is difficult to get it to brake in a stable way, the C-spec is tricky to drive in general and the McLaren still has tendencies to murder you on worn tires. And we couldn't run massive wing because of the straights.

Noel If you're in for the McLarry you can sign me up with you if you'd like, but after my last Bathurst endurance race not sure how you guys feel about myself signing up under the B2O name.

Sweet! 2 B2O teams on the grid would be awesome. Ken said he'd like to do some practice this weekend if you guys want to join us for that.

Won't be able to make it to practice this Saturday heading up to Vermont for the day. I might put up a hosted session tonight if some people feel like joining in.

The GT3 spots are now all taken, so we can't do that unfortunately :(

Quadro are we still doing this thing or what? If so I'm going to need A LOT more practice before I'm even remotely confident I can get around the mountain this long.

Absolutely, I was just running some practice laps last night. Just seems like my timing has been bad for practicing on the weekends lately.

Looks like an open practice is being put up Saturday at 5 PM est running for 4 hours. He expects it to fill up quickly so being on a bit beforehand might be a good idea.

May not be able to attend the Bathurst 12 hour.

Got really irritated with the brake input spiking and decided to force my way inside the pedals by drilling into the heads of 3 screws, a 4mm hex key was able to get the other 3. Get in and clean everything and it's all going well, then the cap for the pontentiometer rips off the pieces of plastic that it clamps onto as I'm putting it back together, meaning the ponentiometer isn't held in place and spins freely where it's at, so my brake pedal is fucked. Looks like I'm getting those $80 CSR pedals after all.

It was either that, have undrivable pedals, or get a replacement, so I'm not too upset.

Depending on how fast I can get the pedals in, I might not be able to make the race. I'm really hoping it works out though.
