Finally made it to the top of mount chilliad with a truck

Ok. Competition time. Who can get the biggest, most ridiculous vehicle on top of the Mount Chilliad.

Rules:
No planes except the 747.
Customisation of vehicles is allowed.
Bonus points if you manage to get it up with a tow truck.

I already tried a tractor trailer and a tow truck towing a RV, lol, but it's very hard. The trailer is easy lost on some of the bumps, and the tow truck has a tendency to get pulled off by whatever its towing. Good luck, I'll keep working on the tractor trailer, done like 15 attempts so far and never got further then 1/3rd up. Small tip: you don't want to roll off a mountain with the ron tanker, lol.

btw, this kinda stuff is what I like doing in MP too

oh btw, if you think dfriving up the mountain is hard, that last bit over the stairs to the observation platform took me like 20 minutes to get over it.

Well, got a couple more on top of chilliad.
First of all an army truck:

And then I started working on getting a tractor-trailer up. First I went with a car trailer, but halfway up one of the cars fell of the trailer and exploded when it hit the ground next to me

Then I did a second try with this one, took me about 40 minutes to get up...

You can tell from Trevors face it was quite a nervewrecking trip, especially when I got a loose boulder stuck under the trailer and I nearly got dragged off the side of the mountain...

My first impressions.

--Graphics are good, but not great. Sunglasses have jagged edges that are noticeable, and I had a ton of pop in when the two black guys are walking past the beach up to the house in the beginning.

--Cars are pretty hard to control. You start going fast easily and it turns into a demolition derby unless you slow down a lot. And I'm sure the computer isn't going to slow down when you're chasing them later in the game!

--While you are racing through the streets and trying not to crash a repo'd car is NOT the best place to put small text tutorial messages. How the fuck am I supposed to read all that while driving?

Seems like a cool game so far. I can't wait to do WHATEVER I WANT in there!

LOL no kidding on the controls. Looking forward to the computer version of the game. Also you can do what ever you want right now, just don't stick to the story line.

This attempt got pretty messy. I couldn't recognise what this was before I started. I was getting pretty frustrated I couldn't get these vehicles to the top of Mt. Chiliad...



So I went and did some sightseeing at the beach. Try not to fap

The cars do get easier when you get the skill up.

Yeah everything levels up and gets easier, and it's not strictly true the whole game is unlocked from the beginning though Engy... Once you get near to completion, and then finally complete the main mission and at least start the strangers and freaks missions, then there's a LOT more you can access and do. I won't spoil it for you, but it's well worth getting to the end and doing the strangers and freaks missions

Three days to GTA Online... I need the dancing banana smiley...

Put it into context though, and it's amazing they got this to run as well as this on this hardware... Think of how many games graphically this puts to shame, and then add in the sheer size of it and how much they've crammed in. I'd say the graphics are incredible.

I can't help thinking how good the modders will get this to look once it's released on PC... Look at the iCE Ehancer stuff on youtube. If they can get that quality out of IV, V once modded will be unbelievable I reckon
