I am playing GTAV now, just downloaded it. I'll let you all know how it ends,

They are and have been working on a PC version. It will be out in the late spring. They will announce it officially this winter well after console launch. They arent talking about it now due to fear it will slightly soften console version sales. And they really want to be the highest selling game of year and tempting anyone with a better version scheduled for next year goes against there goal. Additionally I expect next gen console versions next fall, though have no evidence for the later.

How can you possibly know this, nobody else online seems to?

Same here. I'm not going to the midnight Launch, but I will be down there in the morning and have warned my better half I will not be doing the dishes that day, or anything else at all other than play the crap out of GTA. Everyone is really hyped for this in the UK, not long now! I've decided not to look at any of that leaked footage, I want to experience it for myself.

There is no way of knowing for sure, but an Nvidia employee let slip in an internal memo regarding a pc version of GTA 5, or so it has been interpreted... I can't see them not releasing a PC version though?

It wasnt a memo but an earning call. Nvidia later backtracked quickly by releasing this statement;

Please note, during our Thursday’s earnings call, our investor relations team provided a list of important games that gamers are looking forward to on PC this fall, and included Grand Theft Auto V on that list. This statement was made with the intent of expressing enthusiasm for the games industry in general, and was not intended to represent specific knowledge possessed by NVIDIA. NVIDIA does not have information on any possible PC version release of Grand Theft Auto or its availability. We deeply regret the error.”

There are people that know this plus more and they work for Rockstar(which I do not). There will be a PC/One/PS4 versions on the shelf in 2014.

I have only played an hour or so far(awesome game), had to stop and take my son to Football practice. The first disk is an install disk and the second is the play disk. I will most likely be marathoning it for most of the night. One thing I can say though is the game looks great for 360 and looking at alot of the screen shots I do believe some are not 360/PS3 screens.

Yeah, well, rockstar never stated they weren't going to make a pc version, all they said was that a pc version wasn't worked on while they would be working on the console versions. And that's basicly all the official statements they ever made about it

The xbox version is already leaked online. I'm buying it midnight release. I need xbox live names so I can play with you guys in two weeks when gta online is launched.

This studio is the same studio that made Red Dead Redemption which never ported to the PC. I really don't believe a word DA is saying in this regard because everything to this point is only speculation.

The strongest evidence we have of a possible PC port coming is the NVIDIA leak and a job posting at Rockstar.

Nothing else has been confirmed or even hinted at from Rockstar afaik.

...oh and btw, if you actually read the Amazon Box Art it says "not official".

You know about photoshop and such? I can't believe you're seriously considering this being proof.

First of all how can a picture of a pc proof that there is gta v being played on it, it's a still image? And on the picture of the pc the pc isn't hooked up to the monitor, hell, the whole rig is floating in a white surroundingless mid air. And on the monitor is an image that is exactly the same as an officially released screenshot, what a coincidence?

Seriously, why would rockstar announce release on pc and nextgen in a single twitter message, never make a press release about out, never mention it on their site and never talk about it again?
And you can just go to their twitter and see they never made that tweet. If you want to show us proof, directlink us to the twitter message, to the official pages where the screenshots were taken from etc. Which will be hard because they don't exist.

That said, I'd love a PC version.

This studio is the same studio that made Red Dead Redemption which never ported to the PC.

RDD was created by Rockstar San Diego who do not port their games. GTA is Rockstar North who usually do.

Yeah my proof is totally to troll you guys, took 10 seconds to find that stuff on google. But I do believe it will be released on PC/ONE/PS4 next year but no real proof. But I dont need it common sense is all the proof I need. If you need more than that well youre loss. And if I hear a tree fall in the woods I dont need to see it happen to believe it has. And they havent announced the Iphone 6,7,8 yet but I know they are coming. If they never released on those platforms they would be leaving money on the table for there cash cow. It is not Red Dead its there baby GTA it will be on anything they can make it work on and retain the quality to make more chedda. It will be one of the highest selling games of all time if released on enough platforms. 50% will by it now and rebuy it on next gen for better quality, why would you not want that if you are Rockstar Come on. Yes Shilka it will be on your car stereo the sound track atleast which is amazing.

On a side note man is it a good game, best game I have ever played. I have played it 12+hrs today and cant wait to play 30+ more this weekend. Not really spoilers but here is some info. Its by far the most impressive Xbox360 game visually to date, IMO. No map boundaries like GTAIV go where you want when you want. The cars handle so much better now, so much. Loosing the cops is totally different and feels more realistic. I managed to loose a 3 star rating being mere feet away from half a dozen cops. Man they 1up GTAIV in every aspect, humor, story, acting, depth of the whole city. They will catch you off guard with the humor when you least expect it and oh yes they will go there and beyond. Definitely more mature than the previous keep you kids away from this one. 12 hours in and I still havent played as the 3rd character. There are times that you play as others besides the main 3 characters. No hand holding here from the jump off you are in it, yes I died on the first mission(hand to face) but I'm sure I wont be alone in this boat. But have only died twice since then in some hilarity of random situations, I actually enjoyed the deaths and only feel cheated that I dont have video footage of it. I so badly want to tell those stories but may be slight spoiler on one so will refrain.
